How to Join

"Nippers" is an activity-based program run to educate young children about surf safety and awareness when visiting a beach or aquatic environment. The nipper program also offers the participants the opportunity to meet a new set of friends whilst they are being challenged in activities controlled within a learning environment.

The minimum age for children to start nippers is 5 years of age. That is, the child must have turned 5 before the 1st of October.

Registration for 2008-09 season were held on:

• 14 September between 10:30 and 2:00 pm
• 21 September between 12:00 and 3:00 pm

NOTE: Only limited registration will be available on the 1st day of nippers

Important Information

Costs for this season 2008-2009

• One (1) child         $100      
• Two (2) children    $150
• Three (3)children   $160
• $10 from all junior members (each child) will be paid into a building maintenance fund. The money collected will be passed onto the Surf Clubs Board of Management for exclusive use in the maintenance and repair of the clubs buildings. This amount is included in the fees above.
• Existing members do not need to complete the forms below.

New Members

• For new members registration forms are available for download below in PDF format.
• Please bring along the child's Birth Certificate or Passport
• Qualifying swim of 25 mtrs must be completed for children in the under 8's and above. (25 mtrs)
• The proficiency swim must be completed before membership is fully accepted
• There is no qualifying swim for the Under 6's and Under 7's
